  1. Car buyers can start planning their purchases next year. Let's just hope the loan rule still applies, just to dampen the demand a little. http://m.sgcarmart.com/articles/articleinfo.php?CT=n&AID=11131 With a maximum of about 52,000 cars, which can be deregistered between now and mid-2015, dealers are preparing for a big spike in Certificate of Entitlement (COE) supply within the next year, reported The Business Times. Deregistrations are the main component in determining each new COE quota and over the past four years, the number of cars scrapped has been low. This, and a lower allowable vehicle growth rate and COE clawbacks due to previous oversupply, have put a squeeze on COEs. As a result, the number of private passenger cars registered in 2013 was just 22,008 units, while only 27,000-plus new cars were put on the roads in each of the preceding two years. The director of a volume dealership quipped, "Compared to those lean years, 2015 will have at least 50 percent more car COEs, if not 75 percent more.'' The situation looks even rosier beyond that. According to the Land Transport Authority, from mid-2015 to mid-2016, a maximum of 107,000 cars are due for deregistration, or double the preceding period's figure. And this pool remains about the same size for the following 12-month period from mid-2016 to mid-2017. So it is no surprise that many distributors are ramping up operations. The Mitsubishi brand, for example, is returning to Cycle & Carriage's Alexandra Road showroom. Some brands are expanding their model lineup. For Opel and Chevrolet, distributor Alpine Motors is bringing in two new models each. The four cars will be Alpine's first new model launches in two years. But others may be more cautious about over-extending themselves. Over at Borneo Motors Singapore, the authorised Toyota distributor is said to be streamlining its Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) operations and securing new facilities to handle the expected rise in sales. But it appears investment in other areas may take place only when the actual boom materialises.
  2. Ha..ha..ha.... ang mo believe in zombies ..... Too many mutants movies had scared the sh*t of US army ..... Yahoo news: Zombie Apocalypse: US Army has Plan to Stop Attacks by the Undead The US military has prepared a defence plan in case of a zombie attack. A document obtained by Foreign Policy, called CONOP 8888 and also known as 'Counter-Zombie Dominance' provides a how-to guide for military planners to isolate the walking dead and kill them. "This plan fulfils fictional contingency planning guidance tasking for US," the plan summary reads. "Strategic Command to develop a comprehensive [plan] to undertake military operations to preserve 'non-zombie' humans from the threats posed by a zombie horde. "Because zombies pose a threat to all non-zombie human life, [strategic Command] will be prepared to preserve the sanctity of human life and conduct operations in support of any human population -- including traditional adversaries." CONOP 8888, dated 30 April 2011, highlights the different kinds of zombie adversaries one might find in such attacks. They include "vegetarian zombies" (zombie life forms which pose no direct threat to humans because they only eat plant life); "evil magic zombies" (zombie life forms created via some form of occult experimentation) and the dreaded "chicken zombies and zombies from the outer space." The authors even describe a "worst-case threat scenario" in which the zombies would infect humans at a rapid rate. Fearing that the document could not be taken seriously, the zombie survival guide planners wrote at the end of the paper: "This plan was not actually designed as a joke." link: https://sg.news.yahoo.com/zombie-apocalypse-us-army-plan-stop-attacks-undead-113115550.html SG can help be sending few crates of this over to them for protections.....
  3. Bloomberg is reporting that Toyota will again be bit by the recall bug, this time due to steering problems with its Lexus LS 460, LS 460L, LS 600h and LS 600h L. The recall, reportedly announced by Toyota spokesperson Mieko Iwasaki, will cover 11,500 models globally, including 3,800 units in the States. The company says that some customers in Japan have complained that the front wheels don't turn to their original position quickly enough after executing a turn, and the issue is reportedly both mechanical and software related The reported recall comes just one month after the Lexus GX460, was recalled for a stability control issue that was discovered by Consumer Reports. Toyota recalled 9,400 GX460 SUVs in the U.S. and 13,000 units globally. The Lexus LS recall is not currently listed on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website, and there is no word yet regarding which model year(s) will be covered under the recall. Hi guys, Consider this: your family only you and your elder brother. you are doing much better than him, salary almost 3 times as much. moreover, your elder brother's job has no potential job advancement and stagnant. because of this, your parents only assign 30% of their wealth to you, and the remaining 70% to him. how would u feel? i am just wondering if i prepare my will in such a way, will it create any unhappiness when im gone. ok la, im not rich, just average. put it simply, 1mil cash, $300k to younger $700k to elder.
