I think it's a ground level monitoring system used to monitor shifts on the ground during constructions.

 

Is this near the construction site around kkh and little India?

 

It looks very much like those seen in CTE and some parts of KPE. Those seen in the tunnels come with these small little reflective sensors on the walls. I think also to monitor shifts within the tunnel walls.

told u all already....it looks like a Topcon or Nikkon theodolite used for measuring movement of soil or structure.If there is gps function can check altitude and latitude for soil movement monitoring! It is also use to check for strata measurement and location.I use to work in Leica making these equipments....those top ends theodolites and monitoring equipments!

King Albert Park Mc will be giving way to a big project in the near future. Highrise residential cum shopping centre.

Is this along Bukit Timah Road? looks like something that detect floods... lol

 

If the flood water reach that monitor at that level, a lot of places under water leow ... [sweatdrop]

 

No more 'ponding' leow, wonder what term they will use next ... [sly]
