I just collected and drove my pearlie white 1.2 Qashqai for 3 weeks, and I can't stand the rattling on the left of dashboard and knocking sound.

Less than 1000KM, and I sent it in today at Tan Chong Toa Payoh workshop for troubleshooting. Sianz

SE verified the rattling due to loose wiring at dashboard and knocking due to mounting issue.

Hopefully Tan Chong can resolve my problems. Irritating to drive with the noises!

Hi BreezyWind,

1 year + issue due to local fitting/wiring but also a bit on the design of the glove compartment.

Surprised TC did not get it fixed as standard SOP and keep irritating new owners :(   Guess management is not aware else the Service team will get into hot soup ....

Cheers,

Richard

Hi guys, I just bought an OBD2 splitter Y cable from ebay and now I can use for both my door auto lock and ultra gauge. The price is roughly $8.50 for the cable. Anyway, I was quoted $60 dollars for the splitter cable from one shop and I decided to source it myself. The delivery took anout 2 weeks and it comes with a tracking number.

I notice there is some free play on the hinge of the glove box. Going to take a look later to see what I can do to stop the rattling sound.

I just collected mine earlier. Now still monitoring the ride. Definitely much enjoyable ride without the irritating noises.

Rattling noise - rectified by fixing the glove box compartment

Knocking noise - rectified by greasing the mounting

Both noises are on the left side.

Keeping my fingers cross. Hopefully they are fixed indefinitely.

Recently l can hear 'howling' sound coming from the left rear.

Cannot figure out if it is from the tyre or wind. More like wind noise to me and l tried to fold both the side mirrors, is not from there.

Please share with me if you have this noise too.

Hi Kohanson,

Good move !

I was charged SGD60 for the same damn 1 to 2 extension cord but helped 40+ bros on good quality 1 to 3 extension cord for SGD10 who also installed the auto central lock obd module with various ethrottles, BT OBD dongle, etc.

Hope shops will not longer have the chance to make 5 times the cost which is a bit too much.

Cheers.

2 months of waiting, finally my order of Bilstein B6 damper for our QQ 1.2T arrived.

A short trip from Sin Ming back home around 20km. I go by upper Thomson cause the road is more irregular than CTE. The Bilstein is much much better than our original damper.
From first day I got my QQ, I always complaint it's bumpy, after changed to primacy it's better.
Now with Bilstein the bumpy no more instead it give a much comfortable ride.
