And it couldn’t come at a worse time for Land Rover as the British firm just started production of the Evoque in China with its local partner Chery Automobile Company.

We're not just talking about some vague similarities between the two SUVs, but a visually very close copy – go ahead, call it a clone, no one will blame you…

Landwind is hosting the world premiere of the X7 at this week's 2014 Guangzhou Auto Show, but we've yet to hear any comments from Land Rover.

The X7 shares its platform with Landwind's X5 SUV with power coming from a Mitsubishi-sourced 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 204PS (201hp) and 250Nm (184 lb-ft) of peak torque paired to either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic, according to Chinese media.

Saw it in a China web site that land rover cannot sue lufeng because land wind design has copy right but Evoque did not applied for the right. Look like lufeng has snook the Ang mor in its own game. Anyone can verify?

Will they sell it in Singapore?

Very unlikely, i remember in '07 or '08, geely distributor in Singapore tried to bring in the fake BMW X3 lookalike, i saw at least 10 models in the 2nd floor of the showroom, and after a few months i heard it was not approved to be sold in SG

What a shame, what a disgrace... Simply no own style and character. What this Chinese are doing are not showing the world what they are capable of coming something fresh and on their own, but instead, they are disgracing and tarnishing themselves.

Which made me ponder: Just how far can you actually get away from everything?  Well, the question has two answers.  The actual most remote point on Earth is called Point Nemo.
