Hi guys, i got an assignment regarding cars. I need to know the detailed specifications of a 1.8T 20V (manual) engine.

I need the gear ratios(1st-5th) and final drive ratio. 0-40km/h times, 0-100km/h times. Tried searching on the web, but can't find much info.

Thanks!

Its a simulation assignment using matlab. Simulate a car of my choice, must include drag coefficent, frontal area, transmission efficiency, gear ratios and a whole bunch of stuff. Thanks alot, i think i decided to use a VW Golf 1.6.

Hi SECONDHAND,

the story is like this, a motorbike skidded and bang into me behind and when i claim against the rider insurance, the rider insurance surveyer came and took picture and commented that my Rims and Tyre is against the LTA rule so kindda trying to say that his client could have seen my octy tyre protruding out alittle thats why made him jam his brake and skid... [smallcry][smallcry][smallcry]

huh...that is the most lame reason i ever heard...protrude slight out tyre will cause a motorbike who supposedly had travelled too fast and too close, jamed and skidded...all due to the "illegal" rims and tyres of the car in front....ask the surveyor to go fly kite...that'll be easier for him.

Against LTA ruling? The only ruling that I know of is, the wheel, rim + tyres, MUST NOT protrude from body laterally... And if u didn't add any spacer to flush the wheel to body, then shouldn't be a prob...

I'm guessing these ppl trying to "eat" you... [rifle][rifle]
