Beanoyip Turbocharged September 4, 2005 Share September 4, 2005 Hi guys, i got an assignment regarding cars. I need to know the detailed specifications of a 1.8T 20V (manual) engine. I need the gear ratios(1st-5th) and final drive ratio. 0-40km/h times, 0-100km/h times. Tried searching on the web, but can't find much info. Secondhand Neutral Newbie November 29, 2005 Share November 29, 2005 Must be kidding me... Who told u it's oversized?? C.A told me our Skoda rims can support up to 18"... Tracxterem Neutral Newbie November 29, 2005 Share November 29, 2005 Hi SECONDHAND, the story is like this, a motorbike skidded and bang into me behind and when i claim against the rider insurance, the rider insurance surveyer came and took picture and commented that my Rims and Tyre is against the LTA rule so kindda trying to say that his client could have seen my octy tyre protruding out alittle thats why made him jam his brake and skid...
Mivec9 1st Gear November 29, 2005 Share November 29, 2005 huh...that is the most lame reason i ever heard...protrude slight out tyre will cause a motorbike who supposedly had travelled too fast and too close, jamed and skidded...all due to the "illegal" rims and tyres of the car in front....ask the surveyor to go fly kite...that'll be easier for him.
Secondhand Neutral Newbie November 29, 2005 Share November 29, 2005 Against LTA ruling? The only ruling that I know of is, the wheel, rim + tyres, MUST NOT protrude from body laterally... And if u didn't add any spacer to flush the wheel to body, then shouldn't be a prob... I'm guessing these ppl trying to "eat" you...
Tracxterem Neutral Newbie November 29, 2005 Share November 29, 2005 Hi XTRAUN, I was piss about the comment that the surveyer commented on my Octy but when the car workshop owner ( my insurance autorised workshop) pulled me to one side , he also agree with the surveyer that my wheels are too big but not on the causing of the motorbike to skid.So how??? I abit confuse lei... please help..
Secondhand Neutral Newbie November 29, 2005 Share November 29, 2005 Come read here... Print it out and show it to that surveyer... Highlight it with ultra bright yellow highlighter... http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onem...ml#MainPar_0058 ↡ Advertisement
