That's a good intro... beautiful car with a basic engine... reminds me of the Suzuki Swift 1.0L... it can't burn rubber but it gets the job (moving people around) done economically [sunny] that's the most important factor these days... petrol price is making everyone suffer... this 1.1L Getz should elevate some "pain" [sweatdrop] the tax & insurance should be rock bottom... great option for 1st car buyers and with proper care, this car should be no problem to be able to serve well for more than 7 years [sly] if priced correctly, this will be a potential winner [thumbsup] watch out picanto & kelisa... competition's coming... a beautiful one too [inlove]

Yup agreed!.. Pre-FL Getz has a kerb weight of 1108 kg and Korean cars are known to be much heavier than their Sushi counterparts due to a more robust and rigid body. Heard of people commenting that their Nissan Sunnies feels floaty at ard 110 km/h. I have whacked up to 155 km/h on the 1.3 Getz and it feels solid and stable!

I realised people tend to look only at the engine capacity without factoring the weight of the car. Just compare the following FC figures (Pre-FL):

1.6L is averaging 14km/litre of petrol

1.3L is averaging 11-12km/litre of petrol

Get the picture??

No doubt a 1.1 entry level Getz will be price at rock-bottom price and insurance + road tax would be cheap as well. But with a full load of 5 passangers, the driver would have to "push" his engine hard. Any savings might be taken up by the petrol....

Just my 2-cents worth!!

1030kg one place...another says 998sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gif

Even at 998kg, it is heavier than PIcanto's 930kg, and even heavier than 1.5l Vios.

Shd give this heavy weight 1.1l Getz a miss.

Body way too heavy for puny 1.1l engine

Power & pick up prob worse than 1l Kelisa.

Consumption prob same or worse than 1.5l Accent
