well I am not sure thats why I am asking around

thinking of trading in at the dealer

btw I just checked my rebates

OMV: $12,317

PARF Rebate: $10,161

COE Rebate: $15,687

Total is $38,165. This is the minimum amount I should be getting if I trade in my car right?

How come your PARF Rebate so high? You find out from one motoring website or your log card?

My log card only show $6928 min.

I didn't take loan so I have no problems with any finance company

I can choose to keep or sell as I wish... [:)]

I expected to lose some if I trade in the car...not as much as 11k [dizzy]

An upfront rebate of $17,000 to be offset against the following items:

(a) COE Quota Premium

(b) Additional Registration Fee (ARF)

The rebate is first offset against the COE premium payable.

Any excess is then offset against the ARF payable.

erm so what does this mean? pardon my noobness [:)]

thumbsup.gifu r right....

haha then i am interested to see how the logcard for such a car look like.

cos usually the ARF is not shown as absolute figure on the logcard......

also, arf could be around 10k....

meaning if COE drop below 7k, then which is used next to offset?

You can only include either the PARF rebate or OMV and not both depending on when you scrap your car. The paper value should approximately be about $25-26k excluding body value.
