Osram Silverstars edge it out just by a bit but you don't find Silverstars easily here. Easy in Malaysia.

the problem is my vision plus is gone when i crashed...so i guess the workshop put in a normal bulb for me.....

base on the website, it mention "Upgrade to SilverStar and get the whitest, brightest light. Get more light when you need it most, at night."

 

can white light penetrate better the yellow light, esp during heavy rain?

Nope. White light doesn't. Yellow is the most penetrative. That is the reason why the late 80s to early 90s sports cars come with yellow fogs. Note the AE86 in the Initial-D movie. Yellow fogs. Some of the Starlets with bodykits have the stock yellow fogs. Not for you to see people but rather people to see where you are.

but from their site, their photo demostration look promising maybe good for clear nite but not on rainy or floggy nite

After exchange rate, about the same price and Phillips VPs. I just know they are available in Malaysia. Dunno where. Check their accessories shops.

Switched to vision plus a few months ago, and find that its indeed brighter and can shine further that my previous bulb. But can't confirm if its really 50% brighter, I feel its only around 10% ~ 30% brighter only.

find it strange ... some site say osram SS is better then Philips VP and some other said other wise ...

i've asked Osram singapore. yes.. I mean no, they dun carry the SilverStar in Singapore.

i changed to vp for headlight and fogs in july

brighter than dv and blue for sure,and last longer

my dv lasted 3 month then one side low beam gone

32-36 range everywhere

depend on wat size h3/h4..etc

it is normal for this kind of bulb to blow around 3-6mths....so far vision is still quite lasting.
