good news for those who are interested in getting this from daihatsu. I wrote to Sin Tien Seng who is the distributor of daihatsu passenger car, the reply is as follows:

 

"We are in the process of finalising the import. The earliest this model, known as Terios for export, can be on the road is May. "

this is good news Fourwheels!, wonder if it will be the same as in the pictures as I have searched Terios on the web and the car looks nothing like the Daihatsu CX!

Those probably are the current version of the Terios, I am sure Sin Tien Seng know what I am talking about. One thing i hope is the basic version will come with ABS and Airbag (be it single or including passenger) and the selling be below 60k with the current COE of 8k. well, just hope last.

I hope so too Fourwheels! I just want a cheap and affordable SUV, the current RAV4 is way out of my budget!

 

I think the 2wd AT version will be quite cheap in a few mths time.

 

Do you think that the Daihatsu version will also have a VVTI engine? I would prefer to get the toyota one if the don't.

this Rush car is def a smaller sized interior car than the rav4 1.8l, so u decide if u nid the interior space or not.

 

Lets say ure fetching pple from airport n they got luggage, looks like the boot will be dam cramp if they got big bags...

 

In terms of design, its goin backwards unlike the Honda Jazz which is way ahead for size optimization.

 

To me, this looks more like a Suzuki Jimny competitor, but of cse mus see the real thing then can make fairer comments.. :)

really good FC but have to wait for a real model to hit our shores first..sigh..the wait is killing me!

Too much metal for a 1.5l - may be underpowered. What is the kerb weight?

the kerb is quite low... from 1150kg to 1190kg for 2WD to 4WD

The Rush has a wheelbase that is longer than the new RAV4 - the version that is brought in by the PIs. Should drive very well indeed! I hope the 4WD version will also be brought into Spore. Would be a nice little SUV for the wife!
