COE up or down in the end only car dealers make $$$.

Think ppl who bought their cars at a higher price the past 2 weeks must be sianz 1/2 having to pay more for a lower priced coe.

my guess is that

dealers will most prob forcast that the next bidding will have more buyers so price will still maintain or +/- abit.....

Based on manufacturer's claims, the difference in FC between 2WD and 4WD is about 0.7 km/ltr.

By the way, I just check the details of the Terios catalog, and just realised that for this export model, there is no Auto 2WD for RHD models; Auto 2WD is only available for LHD models (Europe in mind obviously). Now, we know why STS don't have an Auto 2WD Terios. A pity, really.

But accordingly to the SE Ivan, the auto 2WD will only arrive singapore in Sept and it still not open for booking.

hehe... seems like you're quite adament in getting the 2WD [;)]

btw, i've chked with an SE @ their Jurong branch. He said "NO NEGO" on price!! [mad]

he says price went up b'coz DEMAND too GOOD!!!! so, it's the consumers who r drving up the $$$ [:|]. he's rather helpful in providing info on the car. but said too bad, the bosses of sts wanna earn more $$$ since it's like a "open gold mine" - bu(4) zhuan(4) bai(1) bu(4) zhuan(4)" [dead]

so.... i guess only thg tat we can squeeze from them is the 'add-on' like solar film etc..... [smallcry]

Yup, I think the 2Wd is more suitable to my need, why shld I pay more for something that I would able to make full use unlike airbag, that safety.

Kallang SE said the different thing, freebies that you need is almost as good as cash. Else those PI agent are willing to earn your money with their Toyota Rush.

If STS going to increase their prices further, then RUSH will be the almost the same price liao

I also quite like this car [nod] but will only consider 2WD Auto, really coming in in Sept 06? Anyone knows what's the price then? one thing, it sounds like "TER LOK" like very Jia Lat.....

I keep changing my mind [crazy] , meriva to altis/octavia to Terios. but one way it shows that new cars just keep popping up every 3months, in the end ask myself, what's the hurry?

This Terios, how come feels like suddenly increase from 60k to 64k? And pple say better not buy 1st batch, let the bugs appear first, fix and just like selling CDs/DVDs, the next next coming batches always facelift, comes with better stuff, will it apply to Terios?

Tks bros. [thumbsup]

Whe the Terios was first available for booking, the 4WD was going for $61.9K - with leather seats and alloy wheels. The latest quote for this car is $64.5K. I believe the increase is mainly due to COE; and I think STS is also trying to increase their profit margin.

Nowadays, particularly Japanese cars, are so well tested and made, that rarely is there any major problems with the early production batches. Facelifts usually come in the 2nd or 3rd year.

Anyone knows the differences between Rush and Terios?

I guess there're only cosmetic differences since the cars are technically identical.

I noticed from the pictures here and on STS website that the centre console looks different. For the Terios, there's just a rectangular chunk of silver where the audio and centre aircon vents are. Sticks out like a sore thumb to me from the pictures.

For the Rush pictures, however, the silver theme carries on down to the dash-mounted gearstick and all taken together looks quite nice. Oh yeah, Terios gearstick is mounted between the 2 seats instead as well.

One other thing I noticed is that the Terios doesn't have the kerb mirror.

Any other differences?
