Citroen C4

[Dumb]

It is true that citroen can run on three wheels. Had that experience before when front left tyre got cut open completely like a can of sardines, yet the car was quite steady at 80+ km/h. Didn't know tyre was gone. Thought some sound came from engine compartment. Stopped car and open bonnet, but nothing's wrong. Then discovered left tyre gone.

the ice skating one is rumoured to be part of a scene in next years transformers movie in which starscreem is supposed to be chasing him.

The workshop is none other than the "famous" Thomas Tay & Partners. They have a machine to recharge tired spheres. The spheres on the C5s are sealed for life though.

 

The later Xantias (from 1999) and the C5s have a valve that stops the hydraulic fluid from returning completely to the accumulator when its parked, so no more need to rev engine when re-starting. Oh and my cars tend on self-level at traffic lights, and will always prompt other roadusers to point and stare at my "moving" stationary car..haha!

 

Yes, Citroens are a "moving" experience...

 

Search You-Tube and you will find a video of a GS driven on 3 wheels. Is not a myth, its true.

Should be lor. I started driving GS model onwards. You driving a Xantia 3.0 V6 now? I have switched to Jap cars.

Sigh... the older Citroens really bring back many fond and not-so-fond memeories for me. Are we the only 2 ex-hydropneumatic Citroen owners here in MCF?

My family had french affairs for almost 30 yrs . Was too young to drive when we had the GS, but drove the CX and XM for many many yrs. Really love the self-contering steering on the CX and the horn on the stalk. I'm surprise the stalk horn didn't catch on cos I personally feel that its safer and gives better control cos both hands are still on the steering.

 

Switched to jap a few years back. Hopefully, JC&C can give me the courage to rekindle the french affair again

i am driving a city now and have been browsing the hondas and toyotas

the C4 was a chance encounter on a magazine and decided to drop in to have a look

i was surprised that it was so captivating

 

only VW Golf gave me the same vibes but that is off my budget
