Koren Clutched August 22, 2006 Share August 22, 2006 driving the evo in ur display pic? If yes.. you may want to reroute ur bov into the intake(no more pSsh..) backfire happens when u lift ur foot off the pedal.. there's as much fuel in the cylinders as the last injection(with pedals on) all the excess boost is vented away by the bov.. hence lesser air + same amt of fuel = rich mixture.. which inturns causes backfire.. this is onli one of the causes.. Wiredchaos Neutral Newbie August 22, 2006 Share August 22, 2006 hmmm u sounded very guruISH ... mind if i ask u for some comments ? I tot of putting Simota open pod wif twin CAI and 5 point grding wif VS in my upcoming Lancer 06 manual?advisable? and wat r the effects gonna be ?
Koren Clutched August 22, 2006 Share August 22, 2006 twin cai? no need so extreme.. haha.. it wun help a lot.. just do up a proper heatshield and 1 cai.. or relocate the pod @ a cooler area (e.g fender, front bumper) grounding wun give you any/much effect.. voltage stab on the otherhand makes ur electronic devices more stable. but most batteries nowadays are able to provide almost stable voltages.. you should not need a VS unless u're heavy on ICE or other stuff.. dun rush with the mods.. drive with what you have in the car 1st.. haha you paid for it aniwae.. Wiredchaos Neutral Newbie August 22, 2006 Share August 22, 2006 thnks for the advise Koren, i will do the mods gradually, not all at once. jus feel the car first b4 putting in wat i need. Heatshield?? can kindly elaborate, i abit rookie although i drove many yrs liao.. hahah So relocate the open pod to a better position as in face it in areas like the front bumper etcc..etc.. so like tat must make holes to the bumper ? ↡ Advertisement
