Does the haze affect your car's performance?

i thought engine oil has no exposure to air, but basically to lubricate the engine only?

I also told my wife is coz of the haze, less oxygen [laugh] but come to think about it, the % of O2 in the atmosphere still the same mah, only added with haze parttcles... tio bo?

 

well i guess it's like driving through mini sandstorms. just that our 'sand' here are slightly more tiny particles.

I can hear my exhaust coughing.

should I put some cough mixture in the petrol tank?

nod.gif 100ml, 3 times a day. After "meals" horz. No reving above 3K rpm.

i thought air filter is for the air-intake for the combustion system? does it really effect the engine oil (lubrication)?

the large amount is to fill up the engine oil sump. not just lubricating, the engine oil also helps to cool the moving parts within the engine.

Yup, I feel it too. Current K&N filter not as good as stock filter in terms of trapping fine particles from hazy atmosphere. Noticed FC went up to.

 

I think nothing beats stock paper filter in terms of filtration... recently changed coz warranty over liao... [sly]
