No need to worry....

Only thing is that 1 adult does is not belted so not that safe! Remember it is not just the unbelted adult's problem.. Depending on whether he is seated on the left or right, his head could slam into the back of the front seat passenger or driver and injure him/her.

Anyone know if insurance (you know how unscrupulous they are) will decide not to pay because you have exceeded the capacity of the car as determined in the log card?

If u observe your log card, it will state how many passengers u r allowed to carry. If u exceed that, the ins co might not pay if they can prove that the accident was caused by overcrowding.

But seriously, taking 5 pax + 1 driver is not too bad except for the cramped seating behind. If the pax don't mind then just take lah, but drive slow & carefully cos your car will handle differently when heavily loaded.

If u do it very often, then your suspension & tyres will suffer. So will your FC.

Not advisable to overload. Spent so much money on a car and if ended up in workshop for repair. not worth it. It is better to offend your friend than your own pocket

no issue. altis big enough. [laugh] Kids sit on adults lag loh. [:p] My in-law side are generally big size. [sweatdrop] (My BIL once weighs 140kg cos my exvios to tilt quite a bit when he sat on the passenger seat. [sweatdrop] ) Even my cramped ex vios also managed to squeeze in 5 adults and 3 kids.

BTW, I saw one Passat took 7 adults yesterday. Very slow when climbing up the slope. [sweatdrop]

[jawdrop] vios 950 kg. 5 adults and 2 child would be about 350kg more (incl ur BIL) tts 33% more weight! better drive slowly. with tt much additional weight, u cant stop in time with stock brakes!
