Advice on battery change

Hi all, I will be sending my vios in for the 20k servicing soon. Since the warranty covers battery for 2 years and my ride is almost 2 years now, is it advisable to request for a new battery since its FOC?

What is the usual lifespan of a battery? If it is short, then I better tell them that battery is "faulty" and ask for a change during this servicing...

Thanks in advance! [flowerface]

Hmm, we are talking about different types of products here. Anyway, I've just checked and it is possible. I was advise on this by the salesperson when I first bought the car but just wana confirm with bros here.

Thanks.

Why don't you ask for a new car while you are there [laugh]

But frankly, lifespan of a stock battery can last 6months to 3years or beyond. It depends on how you use it and the condition of the battery when car was delivered.

You might want to check on the battery voltage level before cranking. but then, I deem it as normal usual. Warranty is for defects in the battery.

Well, so much for my rant, it's best you skip my post and read others..

Cheers

Normally it last 2-3 years (for automatics). If your engine hesitates to start, then it is about time to change. To confirm, go down to your friendly battery sales person and have your car battery tested. If the voltage is low, do change it before some vital parts get damaged.
