Turbocharged

Really ah? Activated carbon can do spontaneous combustion? [dizzy]

But I use the charcoal gel kind and somemore it's indoor so I think I am quite safe.

Turbocharged

Really? I didn't notice also. I bought the charcoal gel kind and use it in my shoe cabinet and found it quite useful. So I thought it may help with car interior as well though I do not have the problem (yet) of foul smell in the car.

Then better be safe than sorry in case it really spontaneously combust under high heat.

yup.. strange as it may seems, they hv endothermic properties (absorb heat) and poor in heat dissipation. so heat gets accumulated easily.

I scanned thru all the Daiso charcoal in IMM, seems like none is indicated for car use leh.

Some even recommended not to put under extreme heat (thus unsuitable for car use)

i use it for car use anyway. it's the one for shoe cupboards or under the sink.

it works for me. but if u dun trust it, can go with those recommended by LUBE [sly]

my car has no odour whatsoever (i've got sensitive nose so i should know) unless i apply leather conditioner.. that smell cannot seem to be eliminated (not a bad smell anyway).

however, i don't allow eating in the car or transport of smelly stuff like fish, durian etc etc.. so i never tried, and don't want to try, extremely strong-smelling stuff [laugh]

then again, after cycling i am quite smelly even after a change of t-shirt.. [flowerface]

shd be ok la. i'll believe it when ST reports it [lipsrsealed]

i think we using the same type. is it the one with orange or blue "cover"? i find that the gel shrinks alot when used in the car, as opposed to under the sink or in wardrobe

it also seems to grow a white mold after some time.. [:p] but a few patches, i heck care, continue using

Guys, try this... Open the circulation from outside when you turn on the aircon. Then after 2 - 3 mins you can close it to prevent the 'outside' smell from coming in.

I had this problem but now it is solved as I have been using this method. Only drawback is that you may get some smell of smoke from other vehicles if you forget to close the circulation once you are on the road.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.
