Biohazard 1st Gear April 21, 2018 Share April 21, 2018 Anybody been to genting this year? Any changes in the routes? Theme park ready? Worth visiting now or next year better? I was there last month anticipating the opening of the new indoor park, however, we found out that it was not ready, only 3 rides were available. As for the outdoor park, i don't think it will be ready even by next year.

Mage11342 Neutral Newbie April 30, 2018 Share April 30, 2018 Hi everyone can I check by driving up now, I head towards KL then follow signboard to cheras and then kuantan, halfway here I will see the signboard to Genting. Am I right to say this? Carpark wise where will be better to park? Is the carpark outside maxim/genting hotel open for public? Only have the normal silver card. Any extra tips for first time driving Thanks in advance

If u r worried, or just in case u make a wrong turn....get an gps app like waze or google map (need data), or 'Here' (no need data), 'Map.Me' (no need data). Havn't been there since they closed dw e outdoor theme park...but hav always park at e 1st world hotel carpark (since i stay there) in SG, we dun get to drive alot of 'mountainous' road...so just be careful & alert. And remember your car hav 'low' gears too if u r driving an auto car, esp on those short stretch that hav daunting looking slopes. Note that sometimes e road may seems flat to ur vision (esp e highway leading to kuantan/genting) but is actually an up/down hill slope. imho...
Shibadog Turbocharged May 1, 2018 Share May 1, 2018 I was told carpark at hotel no longer free is it ? correct. The carpark fee structure is a bit complicated. Best to get the updated info from their website Page 1 of tis topic giv e routes.. Google Map allows for offline map (download the area in advance) but then this will not have traffic update if no 3G/4G connection.

Biohazard 1st Gear May 3, 2018 Share May 3, 2018 Oh there will be a new indoor theme park? Did not know that. Used to bring my kids to the First World one last time Yup. A revamped one....now no more First world. They call it SkyAvenue. Staying at first world hotel. Trying to find any other parking that look safer. Haha Unless you are some high roller driving some high end makes, otherwise driving any makes won't make a diff. If you are really worried about parking, i suggest you take the coach up. Used to park on top of old town cafe opposite the old theme park hotel. And yes not 100% safe. My car was broken into last time. Driver windscreen smashed. Well part and parcel of driving up north. It does not stop me from going up every year still. Just need to take precaution Edited May 3, 2018 by Extremme
