Cheers and have a good week ahead!!! [flowerface]

Just want to install a central door lock remote without the need for alarm, or any thing else... I wonder can still find such basic stuff with complicated car security devices flooding the market now... [:)]

That's a car audio shop. Up the slope on the right. I went there once to do auto window relay. I'm pretty sure they do what you want as well.

How old is your car?

If it has central locking, installing an aftermarket alarm will cost you less than $100.

Almost any accessory shop would be able to do it.

If you do not need the Alarm siren, the bonnet switch and boot switch, I reckon it can be done for less than $80.

Give Dexter a call at 96959261.

He'll come right up to your house to install for you at no extra charge. My current alarm set only cost me around $120 with install.

He also makes the URES (Universal Remote Engine Starter) which can add on to any stock alarm system and enable remote starting of car from the max range of the remote.

Both my previous Vios and my current Silvia was done by him.

i stop recommending them. becos once i saw a cxxxxxc there to fix aircon. strange enuff, the aircon compressor is somewhere in the bumper. i saw the mech tried to bend the banana leaf of the front passenger wheel and broke it. then i think... no proper car jack, neber remove wheel 1st before remove banana leaf completely. all use brute force. somemore, audio shop fix aircon compressor? arh??? his very fast is abt 2 hours somemore.... wow. 2 hours i reach muai makan durian liaoz.

sollie lah.. this one cannot trust. not saying drivers corner.. the other shop at the slope. no name mentioned. go figure.

This autolock after a certain time is one of the user programmable feature in some alarm system.

You'll need to check if the alarm supports it.

One day, you'll lock yourself out with the remote in the car, and you wish you didn't have the autolock feature. [sweatdrop]

No la.. it's just for in the case i forget to locked the door, at least i know it will lock itself after a while. Instead of worrying all the time or walked all the way back to check.

Do understand the possibility of being locked outside thou.

It's about $150 to $180 depending on which version you get. I think Dexter has an updated version already with even remote trunk open. Neat stuff.
