Vtim 3rd Gear May 20, 2007 Share May 20, 2007 BF Goodrich is pretty good in dry. 195/55/15 is between 80-85 bucks. what's the profile of your 15 inch rim ? satisfy both of your "non-concern". BF Goodridge G-Force Sport has a bit harder side wall, which is what I looking for, will most likely get this after I have downgraded to 16" light rims

Vtim 3rd Gear May 21, 2007 Share May 21, 2007 yah, I prefer hard sidewall that give good steering feedback and this is value for $$
Linus Clutched May 21, 2007 Share May 21, 2007 i am thinking of changing to eagle F1 next.
Osiris 1st Gear May 21, 2007 Share May 21, 2007 which is more grippy on dry? bfg or F1? me on F1 now
Linus Clutched May 21, 2007 Share May 21, 2007 i am not so sure on dry. perhaps they are on par. BFG on dry is pretty good. F1 yet to try. what i heard is definitely F1 is better on wet. F1 would be slightly more ex. how much did you got your F1s ? what profile ?
Decksurgeon Neutral Newbie May 21, 2007 Share May 21, 2007 Borchup comfort and noise and tramlining when worn. a very good wet and dry tire -Potenza S-03 Eagle F1s are good in the wet - terrible on the dry track when pushed after a few laps. pockets deep then go for Michelin pilot Sport 2 - very good UHP summer tire and comfort oriented also
Osiris 1st Gear May 21, 2007 Share May 21, 2007 on 195/60/15 $95ea Well, dry vs our stock tyres is slightly better only.
Liping24 Neutral Newbie May 21, 2007 Author Share May 21, 2007 Being driving my New tires. Very very satisfied with the RE-01 so far. The wet grip is also very very good. Especially the heavy rain this morning. The stopping distance is great. Dry grip, have not not tested to limit as yet...but straight line braking grip is great. Maybe I will need to change to a better break disc/caliper set-up to enjoy even shorter braking distance. But it will still be limited by the ABS system right? Will changing to a better disc/caliper gives better braking distance? I know it may be true in track conditions where you brake very often and the brake get read hot at times. How about normal road use....is there a difference in braking capabilities between stock and aftermarket disc/caliper?
Icetrap 2nd Gear May 21, 2007 Share May 21, 2007 I will advise you to change to better brake pads, maybe 0-800 degree higher coefficient brake pad will be good as they provide a better bite. Of course if you upsize the rotors and brake calipers, you will have a better braking distance. The next will be increase your Pots on the rotor. A 4 pot rotor will enable you to have better brake modulation. However you need to see how much you want to spend on your brakes. AP rotors can cost you anytime from 5k onwards Like for my Car, I upgrade my front rotors from 262mm to 282mm =D
Sinifm Neutral Newbie May 21, 2007 Share May 21, 2007 Not concern about wet grip as I am not likely to drive in the rain nor speed on wet ground. wait u kanna in those waxed carpark surface
Vtim 3rd Gear May 21, 2007 Share May 21, 2007 i am thinking of changing to eagle F1 next. Eagle F1 soft sidewall as compare to G-Force Sport, not my choice
Cyberet Neutral Newbie May 21, 2007 Share May 21, 2007 yes, i don't like soft sidewall too, will bounce too much. oops, wrong image gy tires seems to have soft sidewalls, the revspec i'm on also abit retarded for steering inputs ↡ Advertisement
