Kelpie 2nd Gear May 26, 2007 Share May 26, 2007 1. Any fan of Eagle F1? 2. I read from a web portal on tires that Eagle F1 was ranked after RE01 and PS2 under a Maximum performance category. Regards, ↡ Advertisement

Aidan 1st Gear May 26, 2007 Share May 26, 2007 Previously experience aquaplaning on my Yokohama ASPEC DB, really scary and switch to Eagle F1, no such experience since. The wet grip is superb, except that it is a bit noisy.
Aidan 1st Gear May 26, 2007 Share May 26, 2007 Wanted the Thai-made but P*h H***g left with German-made, so took it anyway.
Ccssgm 1st Gear May 26, 2007 Share May 26, 2007 German Made....i think is Better than Thai made....
Aidan 1st Gear May 26, 2007 Share May 26, 2007 Yup, but wanted Thai-made bcos it's cheaper.
Zarknar Neutral Newbie May 26, 2007 Share May 26, 2007 I'm on Eagle F1 for about 6 months. Never tried other tyres before. But so far I like it. The grip is quite good I feel. But then again. I'm just a noob. Nothing to compare against. Can brothers here advise me... for this tyre...what is the 'recommended pressure'? Thanks :)
Aidan 1st Gear May 26, 2007 Share May 26, 2007 (edited) I usually pump in the morning while the tyres are "cold", thankfully for me Shell is just metres away from my place. Normally pump 230-235 kpa once every 2-3 weeks. Edited May 26, 2007 by Aidan
Ahbengdriver 6th Gear May 26, 2007 Share May 26, 2007 (edited) I was on Eagle F1 for almost 11 months, finally dump it today for CSC3 as I couldnt bear the noise anymore and the progressively poor handling. Its good when new but as it passes the 15km mark it start to show its downside. The only very good thing I find for F1 is its wet grip. I could go on the NSH around bending roads at high speeds and it could hold well. I think it is basically made to be a wet tyre. Kelpie 2nd Gear May 26, 2007 Author Share May 26, 2007 Rather troublesome for me when come to pumping air to the tyres. I'm using N2 so I can't go to the petrol station to pump air. I have to go to the designated places to get it pump. I'm also considering getting the system that monitor tyres' pressure. Regards,
Zarknar Neutral Newbie May 26, 2007 Share May 26, 2007 How about you bro? or any other bros on the same tyres. Pressure? Would like to ask for more opinions too... and hmm...like the bro who replied to me above... u mean 2-3 weeks supposed to pump again ah? I have never pumped before...erm...maybe i should start... so... 1) what is the 'correct pressure' 2) how long to pump up to that pressure again? Thanks! Ahbengdriver 6th Gear May 26, 2007 Share May 26, 2007 I think initially u gotta go and check/pump yr tyres more often so u will know how often it loses how much pressure right? if u drive like a beng like me, tyre will lose pressure quicker. I pump every 2 weeks or when I hv nothing to do I go esso n play with their air pump
Kelpie 2nd Gear May 27, 2007 Author Share May 27, 2007 In that case, you should consider N2, as it loses pressure slower than the normal air. Regards,
Ccssgm 1st Gear May 27, 2007 Share May 27, 2007 Yup, but wanted Thai-made bcos it's cheaper. Cheap.....Is the quality same or Not ?...
Mobilio Neutral Newbie May 27, 2007 Share May 27, 2007 Previously experience aquaplaning on my Yokohama ASPEC DB, really scary and switch to Eagle F1, no such experience since. The wet grip is superb, except that it is a bit noisy. Experienced the same with Yoko Aspec Db and since then, noise is not an issue for me as safety is more important. I switched to Falken FK452 which is a little noisy too. My friend's wrx on eagle F1 experienced some floating above 200kph at NS highway.
