Fabiaman 1st Gear September 27, 2007 Share September 27, 2007 Saw this at Leng Kee... The exterior body nothing really outstanding. But once you peep into the interior... gosh... its really nice. (1) Full of features. Wont describe them here... go read up. I love the high windscreen & the moonroof. (2) A bit small (in the likes of Zafira or Picnic kindda size) (3) yeah price a bit on the high side.. but if u bear in mind the long list of features, it may be justified. Any test drovbe this yet? I am tempted to test. Major worry is the after sales support... much better now as C&C is now the agent... but still, the small fleet on the road today may mean they will not keep high parts inventory. Any feedback? Furrynadz 5th Gear September 27, 2007 Share September 27, 2007 (edited) cnc so far not too bad better than prev agent if u compare the high omv and the selling price, cnc profit margin is low compared to vw/peugeot..etc, mainly cos they want to push the brand take bravo tjet with 23k omv, and a c4gp with 33k omv, and both sell same price , assume both coe abt same price...can see how much others mark up if u want any SE recommendation drop me a pm Edited September 27, 2007 by Furrynadz

Tyongchi 1st Gear October 11, 2007 Share October 11, 2007 Test drove a couple of mths back (4-speed auto) The good - Lovely internal. Very good view of the surroundings. Very comfy seats and huge too. Spacious. Power delivery good during cruising. Dual aircon. Pana roof. The bad - Pick up rather sluggish , probably due to the weight. Some rolling (well this is expected). Heard that auto gearbox is the AL4 , which may face some reliability issues. The 5-seater version (which is coming end of the year) seems to look better. Alexius Neutral Newbie October 15, 2007 Share October 15, 2007 Thanks TC, I did a test-drive on Sat. with the family and here's my 2-cents feedback. The exterior does not stand out, but the interior give drivers + passengers that "WOW" factor. The mount of day-light entering the vehicle thru the huge "almost reamless" wind-screen, Pana-roof, and side window (at the front" gave the "spacious" feel. For the front passenger + driver, ite like sitting on the 1st carriage of a roller-coaster...."FULL FRONTAL VIEW"..... NOT the scary / puking part [laugh] Engine performance though sluggish on the pick-up, as mentioned, was smooth and cruises beautifully, which fits my driving needs - lots of cruising on the highway (80/30)....covers about 100km / day. Downside per family on the 3rd row - the leg room [shakehead] . It is tight due to the design of the floor-board. Passengers are unable to rest their feet properly as it is inclined. Best reserved for the little/shorter members.... Score for this vehicle: 7.5/10 (family consenses)[gossip] Could you or other bro/sis tell me more about this AL4 auto gearbox, which post potential reliability issues. It is currently the debating point.....thanks...
Tyongchi 1st Gear October 15, 2007 Share October 15, 2007 AL4 gearbox is used in Citroen, pegeout and Renault. I was driving a Senic 2 and was happy to say that no issue on the gearbox for the last 3 years. But I do hear some issues by other drivers although the nos are greatly reduced. I believe it's jus your luck.
Alexius Neutral Newbie October 16, 2007 Share October 16, 2007 Thank you . Could not agree more for no car is manufactured identical (character-wise)..... , just have to say ur prayers before heading to showroom for collection... [laugh] Anyway, I did a search and found out more about the issues at some UK forum for Peugeot. Looks like major issue for the earlier Peugeot, Citroen & Renault vehicles, but its is said to have been rectified with new solenoid + software upgrade (so claims the forum). However, will check with the SE at Citroen (who is also reading this forum too) about this matter ..... [sly] Cheers.....
Furrynadz 5th Gear October 16, 2007 Share October 16, 2007 no big issues with AL4 the problem is over hyped as long as u do regular servicing its fine
Fabiaman 1st Gear October 18, 2007 Share October 18, 2007 Any one who buys a Citroen is bound to be haunted by the resale value of the car. Unless u go all the way 10 years, then this is not an issue... the resale for the car is definitely just the SCRAP value. Which means be prerpared to lose a big bunch when u do sell within Year 5. Am I right?

Rjmsfire Neutral Newbie October 19, 2007 Share October 19, 2007 To choose a car with resale value as a major deciding factor is like choosing a university based on how good its alumni society is, rather than based on how good the university itself is. Buy a car for what benefits and pleasures it'll give you during your time of ownership, is my take on this. If you can't accept this, continental cars are not for you. Go buy cars like Civics and Camrys. ↡ Advertisement
