not that I look down on Chery owners, but I do look down on the chery manufacturer. All they want is make $$ without due concern to driver safety.

There are reasons why things are cheaper [:|]

Ya the test was not conducted by Euro NCAP itself, but I believe it's done according to Euro NCAP specs, i.e. 64kmh offset into a deformable barrier.

Somehow I think the source or organisation that produces the video is not credible at all.

yes, in life there is no free lunch.

when u pay less, you compromise on certain things. just like toyota made in thailand.

when manufacturers spend less to produce a car, consumers might find it worthwhile because they find the features more than sufficient, or the build quality good enough, and hence the price tag is very attractive to them.

similarly, a chery owner might have found the car more than capable of suiting his needs and hence it's a good deal in his opinion.

That is true, but accidents aren't just things that happen to other people. They can happen to you even though it's totally not your fault sometimes.

Which would you buy:

1) a 37" TV with proven poor safety, i.e. if one of the wires wears out it can go up in flames and burn your whole house down

2) a 32" TV with good safety, if one of the wires wears out it will automatically shut down and you just need to send it for repair?

For me, it's like choosing between a Chery A168 and Kia Picanto. Yes, one is bigger and 'looks' more impressive but I don't want to fool around with my life.

I wonder are both tested at the same speed?

Kindly of scary for the car to crush like that..

If both is by NCAP, then the speed and load would be the same. C1 looks pretty good. The cabin cage doesn't look deformed at all and the door looks like it can still be opened.

no matter how fast a car can go, how much mod can be made. Most importantly, whether will it be able to withstand such crash...sweatdrop.gif
