I had this function in my years 2005 S60 T5. I Drive the car for 2 years only used once to test. Quite troubleson to shift sim card from hp to car and vice versa provided you get another sim card. It is quite noticeable can't desrible what is the sound about but it seem does not come from the tyres when I turn off the audio, the noise become obvious Any bros have this issue too If it's an occasional thumping sound, probably the bushing is worn.
