Are you sure the plugs cost $180? I got them from stockist at not more than $90 for five plugs.

That's a daylight robbery shop.

There is 1 clone always promoting this WS

I drove a 2009 Volvo S40. Great drive, stable but maintenance is on the high side. Just feel disappointed that Volvo didn't bring the fully equipped version with sun-floor, BITS, etc

otherwise, good car I must said [rolleyes]

I have a Volvo s60 2005 T5 2.4 . maintence is quite expensive to be frank .

Orginal spark plug already cost me $180.00 . easily $500 - $600.00 every service

Thanks for your information. How often do you service your car?. And what do I need to look out for if I want to get a 2006/2007 Volvo?.

Lastly, in your opinion, is it advisable to get such an old Volvo?. But the scrap value is high compared with Japanese cars, even Honda.

Hi all. I have abandoned the 2008 S60 2.0Tsold at WM despite the juicy carrot in the price of $67k only. Many things rather fishy :

1. This car last car servicing is 70K km 1 year ago at WM,meaning once I buy this car, I must send the car for a major overhaul! Now the mileage is 80k km and at 80k km the servicing is a major one I think.

2. I ask for the past service record but they said verbal report will do!

3.I noticed all the 4 wheels have been just changed to a brand named "MOMO "when I tested drive 2 days ago. I suspect this car met with an accident although they tried to dispense it by saying it is just a dent! If just a dent, why change all 4 wheels??? They refused to give me the details when I asked for more info.

Anyone out there interested please beware.

Is yours a T5 or in line 4 2.4L. Dont think there is a 2.4 T5 model.

Ive driven a S40 for the past 2 years. Basically its a very stable car and no issues overtaking at high speed. I think its a good car for someone who doesnt want anything too flashy yet the comfort of a good safe scandinavian built. fuel consumption around 10.5km/l and servicing at Wearnes isnt cut carrot as some ppl mentioned. Defintely going to be more than your BB jap cars but hey they provide free taxi to any location when u send in ur car for servicing plus free car wash.

Anyway I have a set of original S40 car mats which havent been used. Im changing car so if anyone wants the mat I will let it go at $70. Let me know if anyone wants Cheers!
