Knoobie Supercharged August 26, 2013 Share August 26, 2013 Hi all. I have abandoned the 2008 S60 2.0Tsold at WM despite the juicy carrot in the price of $67k only. Many things rather fishy : 1. This car last car servicing is 70K km 1 year ago at WM,meaning once I buy this car, I must send the car for a major overhaul! Now the mileage is 80k km and at 80k km the servicing is a major one I think. 2. I ask for the past service record but they said verbal report will do! 3.I noticed all the 4 wheels have been just changed to a brand named "MOMO "when I tested drive 2 days ago. I suspect this car met with an accident although they tried to dispense it by saying it is just a dent! If just a dent, why change all 4 wheels??? They refused to give me the details when I asked for more info. Anyone out there interested please beware. MOMO is quite a expensive rims leh?? easily 2-3k? ↡ Advertisement
Knoobie Supercharged August 26, 2013 Share August 26, 2013 BTW, why volvo community so small? The new S60, V40 is very nice leh. Does Volvos have common problems such as DSG for VW?

You won't have gearbox problems. Your problem will be trying to keep awake due to the very comfy seats. I've been driving an s60 for the past one year or so and it's a really nice drive. Volvo is not for everyone liking..it best to stay that way so it won't become a "too common" on the road..and service center not crowded..

Mcf777 Turbocharged August 28, 2013 Share August 28, 2013 (edited) U joking right? Volvo parts expensive? U comparing with which brand of car? Unless u go thru wearns motors or outside ws that mark up another 10 to 50percent on the parts. Common parts like lower arms, suspension, brake pad n rotor are not expensive if u buy from online source. Cheaper than unico n selegie Edited August 28, 2013 by Mcf777

Mason016 Supersonic August 28, 2013 Share August 28, 2013 Lol. Anyway, with city safety feature. Just wondering, if any lawyers actually sue Volvo when they go rear end someone. Unlikely to fail since volvo drivers are "ah-peks" that drive at 60km/h on the expressway, and keep 6 car lengths away from the front car.
