Stolen Superb Crashed...

Looks a bit like a nut-case... who'd want to steal a cab (very recognizable vehicle, can't hope to get away for long), and then go and do a high-speed crash on a wall? What's there to gain, unless of course he was suicidal or frustrated with some conditions in his present life. [gossip]

Mostly likely the deceased is high on alcohol and drug.

U can always opt to be self-insured... just deposit S$125,000 into Attorney General Chambers (AGC) account & you will be exempted from compulsory motor insurance.

Else, if you buy insurance, always ask clearly the agent on the policy coverage. Most impt, when you receive the policy schedule, take time to read it.

Is the above really true?

Hmmm....I guess those rich RR and Lambo multi-cars owners will chose to do it? Can save lots of insurance on their cars!

Yes it is true.

The rich will not choose this way lah. Their premium at most 5-figure per year. Still cheaper than $125,000

Neutral Newbie

The deceased is a mental patient as said in today's papers.

Anyway if you noticed most taxi drivers seldom turn off their engines I'm not sure why maybe something to do with the systems in the taxi.

I just think that that crash is at least 120km/h or more. Really nutcase to do that. Need for Speed maybe before going off [laugh][laugh]

As reported by the newspapers, the robber was driving around 100km/h & crashed straight-direct onto the concrete wall. There was no braking marks nor skidding marks on the road.

So wat if the car is 6-star euro ncap? Unless u r driving a tank.

dun read too much into these propaganda machine lah, they just trying to dismiss off the incident so u will not poke too hard too much for infor.

if this guy can crash lidat.. den the place is damn horrigible.. should hv install a road barrier which could hv save his life or another life.

at least if he dies not in vain.

there is a lesson to b learnt. ignore it and the family of the next victim better save up every drop of tears. they really gg to need it.

the slightest thought of jacking a car in sg..... is really unthinkable, given the consequences of getting caught. which the jacker knows he would be or so. [lipsrsealed]

I happen to pass by the accident site today. It's at a T-junction btw. There's is just enough space for the cab to hit the wall.

It did not hit the tree(on the cab's left) or the lampost(on the cab's right). The driver clearly wanted to hit straight into the wall. [sweatdrop]

wah commit suidide also dun need to like tat ma... pity the cabby... if no replacement car for him then he can eat grass liaoz...

I believe the Taxi driver may be able get another taxi. The taxi company is the actual owner of the stolen cab so the driver can just rent another cab. sweatdrop.gif
