So moral of the story is :

A] See T&C of the insurance, B4 signing

B] Opt to be self-insured

C] Take pre-causion measures to prevent Thelf or robber

D] Pray hard that nothing happen.

saw the wreckage this morning, more likely a case of suicide cos the the wall at the T-junction is quite a distance from the traffic light, from the car position, it was as if it went straight onto the wall at high speed, the car did not look trying to avoiding it at all, if it was, u will see it at an angle instead...

you r not wrong.... we pay insurance to get F in the ass when we try to make claims...

Dont make claims also kena higher premium.

other kuku / CMI drivers bang their cars, make claims and as a result insurance companies increase premium . every motorist kena,

careful, good motorist also affected

Bargain for higher deductible. That way, prevents you or other people from doing small claims.

It's not CMI or kuku drivers. It is CMI or kuku morons who don't know how to manage their money. That's why when there was a time some tok kok bus driver kenna some of my paint onto his bus I tell him go fly kite. He say he will claim my insurance. I tell him go ahead and have the insurance company laugh at this face.

not true... there is a limit to the claim. tat limit is the scrap value price of the car (provided no one die).

if the car is scrapped, gahmen pays.. insurers' liability is down to only TP claims and roots for their counter claims.

U can always opt to be self-insured... just deposit S$125,000 into Attorney General Chambers (AGC) account & you will be exempted from compulsory motor insurance.

Else, if you buy insurance, always ask clearly the agent on the policy coverage. Most impt, when you receive the policy schedule, take time to read it.

Is the above really true?

Hmmm....I guess those rich RR and Lambo multi-cars owners will chose to do it? Can save lots of insurance on their cars!

Crumple zone can only absorb the impact to a certain degree.

I believed no car can survived such high speed crashed. Maybe a tank will ??
