Just to share....if you recall the show and take it as a "Musical Show" but in local version, the "funny" part of those laser light etc would be less unnatural..... Good Music ? yes of course! Yes 881 in mandrain - sound alike papaya No matter how many time you listen and watch from youtube etc.....nothing beat watch it from cinema! one probably would not impress at all with the song, costume until you step into the cinema.... The singing were really good. Then the story twist into a disaster, so fast you dun even realise it. This movies pays tribute to Chen Jin Lang, the famous Getai singer who passed away last year on the first day of the seventh month. It also playback the stories of backstage getai personalities like the MingZhu Sisters, which are played as 881 Sisters. He mention his 4yrs old granddaugther cry during the show when 'Qi yi wu'(the actor) sell the chicken to rise fund for Papaya. Not bad the show Lot of nice hokkien song and costume. Shull Turbocharged August 25, 2007 Share August 25, 2007 just watched the show today.. i only have 1 word for it..AMAZING!!! the show really brings out this unique part of SG..and not to mention it's funny like hell..and at the same time..very touching..i almost cried at the last part then they show the sisters hugging each other in hospital singing..and during the credits part.. and lastly, this is Royston Tan's best movie ever..to think that he did the script in 2 weeks and filming is done in 22 days..
