Swiftie Neutral Newbie August 23, 2007 Share August 23, 2007 I would not comment on their ethics. But everything else is still quite ok. Their main selling point is that they can delivery within a month and its stated in the fineprints of the contract. Other than that, I think they need to work on their ethics and build a bigger client base. But hey, wat more can u expect from the same screw up management? ↡ Advertisement
Swiftie Neutral Newbie August 23, 2007 Share August 23, 2007 Strange enough, my SE said the exact same things to me when I enquired abt the penalty for voiding the contract since they are not giving any rebates or freebies. True, nothing wrong wif that since they are just playing "by-the-book". But they can forget abt getting referrals from me in future. Was actually quite impressed wif them from the day I booked the car. Evrything chop chop, everything swee swee. But now i see the true colours. But one thing is that I got this car at a price 4 to 5k less than the closest competitor (tot they were clearing stock), and if i drive it for 5 yrs, I still wun lose that much. Vit4wd 1st Gear August 23, 2007 Share August 23, 2007 I called up my friend working in TC, he claimed his co. got to employ Cisco guards to man their showroom entrance, with people and cars queueing the stretch of Bukit Timah, even overflow to the Minister house. I was like . Sure or not, buy car like going market. Really joker. Your friend is pulling fast one on you. I drove past Tan Chong Bt Timah today in the afternoon and did not see any queue. Paddie 3rd Gear August 23, 2007 Share August 23, 2007 Interesting analysis by Carbuyer on why it looked like it was really a computer problem that caused the COE to drop: http://www.carbuyer.com.sg/?s=news_main&id=459 Also, looks like next round's result will be at least $13k or more. Wanted to get pearl white but no stock. After looking at both colours for some time, I find yellow nicer.
Paddie 3rd Gear August 23, 2007 Share August 23, 2007 I think people know it's a computer problem, but maybe dare not speak up against LTA? After all the LTA will never admit that there was a fault even if it did really happen.

Crazy_turtle 1st Gear August 24, 2007 Share August 24, 2007 My guess is COE will be around 13k for the nxt round, thanks to those that did not get in due to the technical glitch. However, with the car prices lower by an miserable of 2-3k, overall does not look attractive. Those who booked but did not get their COE the last time will stand to lose along with those who book this round. Couple that with a volatile stock market and lunar 7th month.
