The lower the COE, the more profit margin the dealers make.

Yeah yeah.........Dealers, PIs, ADs, etc, all laughing their heads off by looking at the profits! [lipsrsealed] They are the winners.

New car buyers thought they have a good deal but then not many see things beyond that dropped in COE. Cost savings not that much too.

Just heard over the radio there was a technical glitch. A number of bidders could not log in their bids which resulted in the low coe prices.

perhaps they should declare void for this round?

This is life... Buy car need a bit of luck & timing. My friend kanna the $5K COE for his Rush in Feb this year, keep cursing and swearing, also 1 bid guarantee, no COE rebate.

Those who gonna sign from tomorrow onwards will be getting good deal at "lower price". But usually, after high volume of orders are taken, the dealer will increase price gradually. For those on the sideline, this is a good time to get a new car.

Buy at low price now, get high COE! No need to guess, CAT A COE will return back to $10K+ next round.

I doubt the price for cat a is going to reduce significantly.

According to the market news, the Cat A was suppose to increase in premium yesterday. Rumors saying that it might hit $18k for Cat A....

Dealers should had learn their lesson during the CNY saga.

$5k, next round $12k. I guess the next round should be $15-$17k. Back to normal COE pricing.

whether it will be back to normal COE pricing, very much depend on how much the car dealer lower their price.

If they lower too much, and will make too many people buy and they have big trouble securing COE and in the end push up COE price.

If they lower only a bit, a lot people may wait.

Hehe, about 5% increase againt SGD.

Take a car with 15K OMV, OMV will be increase by $750. Plus the tax...., the overall increase is only $1800. Still not consider a lot.

But hor, when Yen drop, did the car dealer said reduce car price?

Totally crap!!!...the real winners are LTA , AD/PI & Banks...

you got low COE, your car value also lower what!!

you're only a winner if you compare to those who got higher COE...but hor...COE is only a small component of the overall cost of owning a car...ARF, GST, Custom Tax, ERP, Road Tax, parking fee, Fuel Tax, Fines etc.... whoa!!!! so many Taxes!!!!

I consider the winner is one who takes a Bus/MRT...cannot squeeze any juice out of them...
