Drivers looking for trouble

Want to know if bros here have got rants about other drivers who look for trouble.

I start the ball rolling by ranting on what i saw today.

I was sitting in the passenger side and my car was on extreme right lane of a 3 lane road.

We move off the traffic lights and about 200 meters in front got vehicle blocking on the left lane.

This car was on the left lane and signal want to come out, there was another car in the middle lane behind him and could have let the car come out, instead I saw him pick up speed and block the car from coming out. The left lane car of course was already signaling and choot from his lane, but the middle lane car horn and horn and pick up speed to travel beside him. This driver seemed to want the left lane car to hit the stationary vehicle in front!!

I really don't know what the driver is thinking.. is he looking for trouble?

What about the rest of the bros here? comments and rants?

Signaling does not give one immediate rights to filter out/in. Still have to wait till the lane is clear.

Pls learn how to drive properly.

I think you misunderstand, this car on the left lane is ahead and faster than the car in middle lane. from where i see, he can safely change lane.

please don't judge without reading my post and understanding what it is trying to say. I said that the middle lane car sped up to prevent the left lane car from coming out. and it is on purpose because my car was right in front and i can judge the speed of both cars.

signalling does not give right of way. that is true. what i am pissed off is the driver who sped up and match speed with the other car. it is dangerous, inconsiderate, and he did it intentionally even though the other car does not inconvenience him by coming onto his lane.

No misunderstanding. When u said the car behind could have let the other car come out, it means that the car in the centre lane must slow down a little to let the other car come out. The centre lane car will have to slow down first let him/her come out and then allow for a safe distance between itself the car in front.

When one filters out, he/she should make sure that that action will not inconvenient others. You failed to understand this. Like I said, pl learn how to drive properly.

The right way is for the left most lane car to slow down and filters only when the centre is clear.

There is no need for the middle lane car to slow down when the left lane car come out. That is the point. he has enough space. otherwise how much space you want? is it no car behind then change lane?

Where did you pass your driving? since when left lane slow down to come out right lane?

driving theory teach left lane to right lane must pick up speed to match traffic speed on right lane so will not slow other car down. don't tell me now right lane slower than left lane???

wah lao, talk to you vomit blood. i think you machiam troll.. since when i say the center lane car must slow down??? you ownself assume one.

okay lar, i don't post anymore, you win. i neber pass driving. i nolicense right? siao

aiyoh, not left lane come out then must slow down. in the the context pf your scenario, the car on the left lane must slow down to avoid the stationary car in front and not to filter out to the right when there is another car on the left coming by. slow down to avoid the parked car, then when the right lane is clear, then filter out.

sigh........

When one starts a thread, make sure the story is concise.

Aside, you mention " What about the rest of the bros here? comments and rants? "

Isn't this thread open for discussion?

Judging from the words of exchange between you and jojo. It isn't very cool of you to start calling people name.

thanks gadgeter, apologies for any name calling to jojo.

agree to disagree.

however, my 1st post may not be clear, and jojo's reply was made with assumptions that i feel were wrong and changes the facts of the discussion.

in a discussion, one should not state assumptions as facts, e.g. the center lane car has to slow down.

that is all i am disagreeing about.

if i am to signal to the next lane but it's not possible unless i squeeze in or I'm a taxi. i will roll down my window and raise my hand. at least it's more polite and driver will a little more song to let u out.

not pa signal want come out liao. that's rude and i might not let him come out too. but if he raise his hand or what den i will let him out. but of cos not middle finger lar.

In Singapore, or most neighbouring countries, there is a lack of graciousness amongst people. How r we gonna progress to be a 1st world country? Maybe progress to First World Hotel is more appropriate...... [laugh]

ignore all other idiotic ppl here who rebuke you.

in the eyes of the law...and I am sure most, if not all, TP will agree....if based on what you say, the left car with enough space had already signal, the right car which is behind the left car in horizontal plane speaking MUST give way, if there is any accident, the right car will be wrong.

I'd encountered this problem once at the Rochor Flyover. As usual the traffic is always pretty choatic there, however I signaled my intention to filter from lane 3 to 4 just before the flyover so that I can keep to the utmost left lane after the flyover. Then there was this idioting Jag driver sped up closed the gap, and horn immensely long on me...so I was stuch virtually 45 degrees between lane 3 to 4. Then to my surprise view on my rear mirror there was a TP (maybe he is just about 2 cars length behind us)...of course my car was blocking him from sqeezing through the lanes and I thought I was in trouble. However to my surprise, he went between our two cars, waved a hi to me, and signaled the Jag to pull over later. I winded down the window and heard that what the Jag driver did was wrong and dangerous...etc etc...

So back to you question...yes indeed there are idiotic drivers like some who have answered to you that may be practicing not to give way to signaling drivers and instead sped up... [rifle]

ya...in sucks so badly in SG road, idiotic drivers everywhere...road hogging...don't signal...don't give way...don't check blind spot...drive into other lanes...don't say thanks...

maybe the garmen should stress this in the next NDP speech rather that constantly reminding us the gap of the rich and poor is widening...where on the other hand the rich are getting richer as they are paid more or demand higher pay for themselve.

the next generation of drivers must not get worse. but i somehow feel it will be worse. or maybe too many cars on the road. drive fast cars also no use, : (

This scenario very very common in SG mah, some people assume they driving big cars, expensive cars, fast cars, and they don't like it when other cars they deemed inferior to filter in front of them, so they block on purpose lor. In fact, it's so common that I can only say just live with it. We are not a gracious society, not on the road at least. Want to drive in SG, must learn to take the shyt, cannot expect everyone to give way.

Have u ever encountered that the car on the right speed up on purpose to block, but the filtering car still manage to filter safely because the car on the right is simply too far behind, and the driver that want to do the blocking not happy then start horning/highbeam and try a dangerous overtake from the left side? Seen too many like that liao....
