Drivers looking for trouble

I tink TS doesnt have a licence thus he post such a thread.

My point is, since the left car cant filter to the middle lane, y didnt he or she slow down and just go behind the middle car? Ego to big?

All these could have been avoided if the left car had slowed down.

Another thing is the TS didnt state the make n model or the person driving the 2 cars.

For all u noe, both have those type of "cannot lose to others" mentality. [thumbsdown]

Signaling does not give one immediate rights to filter out/in. Still have to wait till the lane is clear.

Pls learn how to drive properly.

AGree, this is wat many Sporeans mentality is, if accident occur, the fellow turning out would actually say "I SIGNAL LIAO WAT!!" [furious]

In SG u wanna change lane, best bet is to wind down window n wave. Its definitely more effective den signalling. Like the jams at the customs, signalling ur intention earlier means getting stuck in that lane longer.... sad but true..

erm. signal is only like seeking permission from other drivers to change lane.

It does not give u the right to change lane.

But anyway, u are right on waving hand part!

Dunno why, when one wave hand, the other party almost sure will give way.

Anyway, in the past, when vehicles dun have signal lights, they will wave.

But I am wondering, if want to signal left or on hazard light, how to wave? [laugh]

i dun tink this is a case of finding trouble. Initially i tot u were refer to those boy/ger racers who jio ppl to race from one traffic light to another or tailgaters.

Den again, ur nick is nolicence, i suppose u dun have a licence?

yes got license. nick is nolicense just to say the opposite of hav license. [dizzy]

finding trouble part is the driver horning and slowing down to play the other driver.

I just want to say I don't think any driver would horn continuously for nothing. TS got the plate number? What make is it? Hopefully that driver can clarify. Maybe she complained to TP liao?

Sometimes different angles things turn out different. 3rd party on rightmost lane. Not very sure also .

*Peace*

that's what i think too.. why should a driver horn until like that?? very want to fight like that.. road rage?

the car is black lancer. the left lane car i forget what liao. cannot see number plate as car is next to me. sorry

sigh... now i know why i gave up posting here. it is like talking to a bunch of 12 year olds.

i said this before and now i say again, the driving ethics in Singapore is really [thumbsdown]

good luck to us all.

As wad his nick suggest, i dun tink he has a licence. Probably still studying like Latioboy.

Signal only means the other car shld give way? Wad if i m travelling at 70kmh den the other car is accelerating from a standstill position? U expect me to E-brake?

Sometimes, ppl speed up to avoid accidents.

seanboi, read the post from the begining, neber say car accelerating from standstill and right car 70kmh. get the facts right b4 commenting.

signal not means have right to filter. already state that earlier.

also, speed up or slow down, if you can avoid accident, then that is the right action. i neber say anything about MUST SLOW DOWN.

pay attention to the facts bro, we are discussing the facts. seems many bros here have other ideas.

what the drivers did b4 the part i saw, i don't think anything happen since traffic was fine up to the traffic lights. unless they already enemies since beginning of time, i have no knowledge of so up to you all to speculate. since i don;t have the Fact for that, i will not comment.

Hey sis, I tend to think the middle lane car horn to caution others, not bully. Imagine what would he gain even if he horn. Try to left ear in, right ear out.

Or maybe, it is on a down slope? Traffic green ahead? Stationary car backside blocking?

Like someone mentioned, give him the benefit of doubt since you can't see exactly what's happening, unless you are right behind them. [;)]

left car slow down when the center car block him on the side. in front both car still got road, up to the stationary vehicle still got lots of space.

why left car don't slow down go behind center car? behind the black lancer got other cars, we just move from traffic light remember? so i can only reason that the left car try to speed up to avoid more cars behind. i'm not saying he is right or wrong.

all i'm saying is the bullying and horning is trouble making. unless they have ancient history liao

i hope so, but his actions of slowing down to block seems contradictory.

the road is flat. traffic lights ahead still far

stationary car is 200m or so ahead

i give benefit of doubt to both the drivers. anyway i was not involved only 3rd party looker.

personally, if someone cut my lane, if i have to slow down a bit, its ok.

unless the driver cut and suddenly brake hard (likely reason is front car and my car the gap is too little), then i think the car should not have cut and deserves to be horned at.

1. On highway, if anyone can be ahead of another, filtering is no problem at all at any time, even with some not signaling, provided the filtering is not abrupt at high speed.

2. On merging lanes, those that is ahead and can keep ahead will go first. If a lorry is ahead but speed is much slower, of course the other vehicle will filter ahead.

3. On different lanes, likely accident will occur if car from another lane filter in without picking up speed and distance fast enough, from standstill. Again, in this scenario, if that involve a v8 engine on left and lorry on other, then different story. Now it is turbo engine on middle right? Give him some respect loh. If not why don't you put your finger on your lips and show him 'ssssshhhhhhhhh', you only next to him what. [;)]

Waving is kinda more "polite" n "sincere"... Knn think next time new cars should just install dummy hands dat wave instead of signal indicators [rolleyes]

Hmmmm bout changing lane to the left, guess dat one no choice liao unless u got a passenger who can wave for u, if u got a chiobu wif u just get her to stick her head out [laugh]

Bottomline is - always make sure the lane u changing to is 100% clear to enter... if there is a car approaching, better make sure ur ride has the torque/power to pick up speed fast, its not nice to make the person behind u have to brake or slow down just to accomodate ur lane change... This scenario very very common in SG mah, some people assume they driving big cars, expensive cars, fast cars, and they don't like it when other cars they deemed inferior to filter in front of them, so they block on purpose lor. In fact, it's so common that I can only say just live with it. We are not a gracious society, not on the road at least. Want to drive in SG, must learn to take the shyt, cannot expect everyone to give way.

Have u ever encountered that the car on the right speed up on purpose to block, but the filtering car still manage to filter safely because the car on the right is simply too far behind, and the driver that want to do the blocking not happy then start horning/highbeam and try a dangerous overtake from the left side? Seen too many like that liao....

Many times I allowed cars to cut in front of me and then proceed to slow down.. These people also one kind one isn't it?

This is very common. Whether you have right of way or not doesn't matter. We should be willing to give way and enjoy our ride. Challenging for right of way is too stressing

(1st ACCUSE) Root of cause---Vehicle blocking on the left lane.

(2nd ACCUSE)Wants to change lane to avoid blocked vehical. Fail to accelerate fast enough to change lane to avoid blocked vehical.200m more than enough distance to get the necessary clearance for it to change lane SAFELY. Don't always depend on other car to give way IF one can accelerate fast enough for lane change. Else if the middle lane car also accelerate, then the vehical should slow down and let it pass before changing lane to the middle. The driver fail to judge the flow of traffic correctly.

The left lane car of course was already signaling and choot from his lane, but the middle lane car horn and horn and pick up speed to travel beside him.

Is there a safety clearance? If not why did he 'choot' his lane? If the clearance not enough, accelerate....Jugement of traffic flow is critically important to avoid such situation. [nod]

So is the middle lane car at fault too?

My opinion as per your thread.. [:)]

Don't think the driver on the centre lane is looking for trouble but just a matter of kiasuism.

I can imaging myself if I'm 20yrs younger and if I'm the driver on the left , I would simply filter onto the centre lane to avoid the stationary vehicle on the 3rd lane and then quickly down shift without braking.....then we claim insurance lor... [laugh][laugh]

No lar , don't do that [shakehead] sometimes when you have the right of way doesn't mean you have the RIGHT of way.

Please live another day to tell the tale. [idea]
