Kelpie 2nd Gear September 11, 2007 Share September 11, 2007 i have heard of vtec controller. can u tell me more about it. how dose it operate function.!!!sorry i love v-tec cars but dont drive a v-tec. 1. 1stly, I don't use one. The stock VTEC is good enough for me. 2. Based on my limted understanding, a VTEC Controller help you to adjust your VTEC engagement point by presetting engagement to a lower RPM to kick-in the VTEC early. Read from somewhere that there are Bros that tune it to 2000rpm. In addition, it also provides some vital statistics and you can also adjust the air/fuel ratio on different RPM. In this way, you tell the system when your VTEC will be ignited and you can monitor it right from the display. Regards,

Wolverman Neutral Newbie September 11, 2007 Share September 11, 2007 piggyback ECU like VAFC (displaced by Apexi AFC-New) and V-Con (Buddyclub) Yes that Apexi VAFC is like a piggyback (not real piggyback lah) around 500 bucks a pop...can greatly tune your Vtec.. at the same time the Vtec engineers who migrated to germany also came up with a new add-on --> the Ninja capsule air charger ... Kelpie 2nd Gear September 11, 2007 Share September 11, 2007 I'm no expert in this field. Logically if you want power, the engine has to suck in more air, more fuel is burnt and thus give you the go. Of course, there is a chance to alter the air/fuel mixture to optimize usage but by how much is a question mark for the tuner. Regards,
Route88 2nd Gear September 11, 2007 Share September 11, 2007 Vtec controller is use to control the old Vtec...can't be use in the new R18A engine. This new engine is more of a fuel consumption and better torque output with variable length intake manifold
Turbine Neutral Newbie September 11, 2007 Share September 11, 2007 Super no power if you adjust the high lift to activate at 2.5k rpm Super fuel economy if you adjust 12v - 16v to activate at 2.5k rpm

Wolverman Neutral Newbie September 11, 2007 Share September 11, 2007 i need your advise. iam caught between Ninja capsules,Vtec and Turbo. which should i install for my BMX? Honestly speaking i would recomend the Vtec ... why? Because the Vteck allows your BMX to have a sudden surge at high Leg Rotation per minute... if u have turbo.. there will be a lag.. at low RPM... so Vtec is the best
