Mr Sail returned to the beach to look for the dog, picking up a stick the size of a baseball bat on the way.

He was out for revenge. "I planned to kill the dog," he told The New Paper

Given me, i would do the same [:|]

i would do the same too. KNN dunno which Farker release the dog never pay attention of it. What if the girl got killed? So whose fault is it? The dog should be put to sleep.

dogs must be kept on leash at all times when out in public..... i also don't know what these dog owners (not all) are thinking.... yeah, they might think that their dogs are fine/friendly but dogs are afterall animals....

Many a times, i've seen these owners letting their dogs having a free rein at public places like ECP, bishan park and botanical gardens. What makes them so sure their dogs would not go round "disturbing" other people? [shakehead]

Shall we be put to sleep too for kissing someone's backside and creating unnecessary accident? [hur]

Bear in mind that some road accident kill people just like if the dog kill the girl.

Yes you are right that the dog shouldn't be even released without proper handling.

IMO the owner should be fined and jailed for the mishap but it's not the dog's fault.

What you reap is what you sow. How the dog react is the owner's training fault.

I have a dog too and I never let it on a loose no matter because it is still a beast.

It's a pretty sad incident but I'll be surprised if the dog is put to sleep. It's life should never be punished over something that we human have done.

that's not a logical thing to do...

first a dog cannot think well. how many times have we tolerated kids when they misbehaved by justifying "they are just kids and still too young to think". so for an animal that cannot think, why we don't give it the same benefit of doubt?

or is it that we humans just like to savage another class of animal to show our power?

or is it because we humans have no savage way to get back at another human (ie owner of that husky) so that we take it out on the poor dog who is merely acting on instinct?

to me the fault lies with the owner of that husky.....and if this father is unhappy that he cannot punish the owner of that husky more savagely, then his avenue would be to lobby for a change in constitution or start legal action against that owner using his own financial resources.
