It's nut to own a car, but parked in carpark - take public transport to save on ERP, fuel cost,...etc. Why buy car in the 1st place.

Strangely, I do see many cars in the carpark (normal & OPC) on a working day. Social norm these days.

Put the brain power into making more $$$ better than worrying about quota of COE, basically is a demand vs supply cycle. Why bother unless it is within ones means to change the system.

OPC system is another milk-cow. It comes with 'chance' to cheat by not displaying coupon, every now & then someone kena caught...pay heavily on fine (milk becomes cheese instantly).

about bloody time they reduce the coe quota

Let's see. In 2005, 145k vehicles (of all sorts) were registered. 118k vehicles were deregistered. To reduce the vehicles on the road, there must be more vehicles taken off the road than added to it.

cars are simply getting too cheap

Will you sell your car if COE prices rise to $50-75k? If so, what will you do then? Bitch about public transport, high car prices and why doesn't LTA allow more cars since the roads are so empty?

I thought No. of See Ho Ee issue for the coming year is dependant on the No. of vehicle Scrap this year?? NO???

Then they should do so.... COE might sky rocket, but hell.... so be it... in this instance, 1 car replace another, so no more problem and the farking Extra Revenue Payment can be scrap.... though that is not possible unless one of us become the farking Minister.... [nod]

If COE is abolished, worse still! Everywhere also jam! [sweatdrop][laugh]

Then govt have to build more ERP gantries, to extent that there is one gantry outside your home carpark. [laugh]

He just said the "bitter medicine" of ERP and COE are unavoidable.

So we will wait for "bitter medicine" to come.

If u want to drive. Prepare to swallow.

That mean higher ERP and COE.
