I am now using Esso. However, i still have Shell points left. So was thinking of using up the Shell points to pump 92. B/w, my car is a Verna, so just need 92, more than enough. [;)]

Shell Sengkang has 92!!

actually, i wanted to pump 95 cos is cheaper. then dunno why i blur, pumped in 92 instead.

car feels less power, and the FC seems to worsen. so i pump 98 back a few tanks to "balanced" out. hehehe [hur][hur][hur]

i suggest stick to 95 safer. [flowerface][flowerface][flowerface][flowerface]

Are you refering to the one along Sengkang East Road? Its somewhere near the MRT right? Maybe i will go if i ever go that area. Thanks!

The Ron rating required for Japanese cars and Korean cars are different. I believe you should be driving a Jap car and the min. Ron rating needed is 95. Mine is Korean, 92 is sufficient. [;)]

Anyone know of stations near Bishan, AMK that has 92?

Its in my user-guide. Verna requires anything above 91.

Perhaps Tucson requires a higher Octane level. I am not too sure about it. But for my ride, i have been using 92 for the past 1.5 years and it works perfectly fine, no problem at all.

I have pump 95 and V-power before. Both does not help in fuel consumption. And i dun feel any increase in power when using V-power. V-power is simply 98 plus addictives only.

I guess when the compression level is high, a higher octane level of petrol is needed. Usually such engines will give more power and are mostly used for performance cars.

Yes is near Compass Point.

Wow you are good, [thumbsup] i am indeed driving a Jap car - Altis.

My user manual says min Ron92 but BM SE tells me to use at least 95 for their Altis. So i am not really sure actually. [dizzy][dizzy][dizzy]

Our fuel prices has suddenly rocketed sky-high! It is really quite unbelievable. Hope it will drop back. [nod][nod][nod][nod]

yo bros,

my is a latio and I have been filling it with RON92 from Esso since day 1. With city driving, I get approx. 13km/l and with highway, it can be as high as 14-15km/l. In the nissan manual, it states only RON91 minimum. Therefore, I don't think there is much difference to performance and maintenance to the engine as long as you are putting in the minimum. Furthermore, the petrol quality in singapore is trustworthy, not the watered-down versions you find elsewhere.

That is weird. Min RON for Lancer is 95 (stated in manual) and Altis is 92?

To me, 92 is for rental cars only. [:p]

V-Power is a waste of money.

Btw does anyone know what is the min RON for Swift Sport? Is it 95 or 98?
