Gadgeter 2nd Gear December 17, 2007 Share December 17, 2007 (edited) HU: Alpine 9833 Age: 2 years old Am not sure whether the problem lies with the HU, wiring (as suggested by some during MU) or the amp. It happens intermittently. While listening to the CD/Radio. Sometimes, there is no sound from the front right speakers. Sometimes, there is no sound from the front left speakers. Sometimes, there is no sound from both front speakers. What is the cause? What should I do to resolve this? Spinworkx Clutched December 17, 2007 Share December 17, 2007 It actually could be any of the reasons you mentioned.. But sound more like either a HU or amp issue rather than wiring.

Protege 1st Gear December 19, 2007 Share December 19, 2007 Bro, Long time no talk liao! Last time I still remember audit your setup during the MCF meetup! Anyway I dun think its the speaker cables since its sometimes left, sometimes right and then sometimes both. It can either be RCA, amp or HU. Since RCA is the cheapest to change among all, you can check that first. Hope the above helps!

Wolfy3769 2nd Gear December 20, 2007 Share December 20, 2007 what is the make of ur car?? I had also this problem.... but the cause of the problme is quite surprising.. I had this problem when i wind up/down the window (intermittent)... it was not that frequent that I can live with the problem.. also highlight to the AD during the 5K servicing.. but it was not rectify, maybe they dont know how to fix it or the fixing will involve many time and many $$. so after 80/90K... sort of get use to the problem liao... anyway in singapore, we seldom wind up and down window.. so not really of an issue to me at least. Gadgeter 2nd Gear December 21, 2007 Author Share December 21, 2007 sometimes when I power down the HU and power back, the problem goes away. sometimes, it doesn't.. I'm thinking of swapping the rca between the front and rear and see if the problem persist.
