150 bucks sounds dirt cheap to me.....

compared to DIY.... one fellow MCFer said, go to Sungei Kadut, then go to King George's Rd, then proceed to Syed Alwi....

walau, must go to 3 diff places to get diff things...

i rather just pay $150 to someone to get it done....

wasting my time and petrol going to 3 places.... and still got to go to DIY... waste even more time... shakehead.gif

anyway i always see newspaper classified ad, got a shop specialised doing storeroom racks... i think its somewhere in Jln Besar.

I found the contact thru yellow pages, LOL [laugh]

i just anyhow 'tikam' and call (of cos ask for a few quotations 1st)

Ya, its better to spend 100+ to get it done hassle free, just let the guy know what size you want and how many layer. rather than DIY, and go diff places for the parts. [;)]

Sounds very reasonable, is the rack sturdy and able to take heavy loads?

The DIY shelfs with wooden planks and L brackets on my storeroom are on the verge of collapsing... [sweatdrop]

the metal rack sungei road hardware shop can get.

then proceed to the wood board @ sungei road, (turn right if coming to a t-junction, left side is the hardware shop), the place is inside Dawin interior factory. then turn inside, the row inside all the row of workshop all making cupboard 1. try to look for no.18. a china man inside will sell u the required dimension.( for good board abt $35 for 2m*4, ok 1 abt $20) u can choose the board your self.

Ps: i don work there. i just put together mine 2m*2m wif 4 rack for abt $150. i used the expensive board(times 2) wif white laminte for $35 per 2*4. if u need direction can PM me.

glad to be of help [;)]

I use wooden racks from IKEA and the total cost is only $145.

Don't rule out IKEA stuff yet, these wooden racks can be configured to suit your room and they are cheap and look better than the metal ones. Wooden surface makes sliding boxes from rack easier, and they don't have sharp edges that cut.
