Bearbear1494 Clutched January 23, 2008 Share January 23, 2008 Got mine 1 week upon collection of new ride. Actually they can give on the same day as collection, but they'll usually give reasons like finance dept has yet to clear the paperwork & issue the cheque. Sounds like BS to me simply because the money is actually from the bank which approved the loan, and I'm paying it back in full + higher interest, not as if it's some incentive bonus given by them. In your case, bounced cheque sounds like the AD or PI (most probably PI, I presume?) has serious financial issues. Better make a trip down personally & get it sorted out. If need be, consult the bank as well.
Djcoolmax 2nd Gear January 23, 2008 Share January 23, 2008 with a cheque that bounced twice, it does sound serious. Check with them again and see what they have to say and if not, share with us the name of the PI so the rest can be wary. Hope the amount is not too much.. Edenboy Neutral Newbie January 24, 2008 Author Share January 24, 2008 well the PI advise me to consolidate with his side first then his company would issue the outstanding amount to me after deducting the necessary. guess this should be a lesson to those that trust your PI too much. Still the best way would have been for me to get the cashback directly from the institution and then make payment to the PI.
