i was very surprised when someone showed me a "flying bird" when i was driving.

it happened when i was travelling from paya lebar towards geylang rd.

just after paya lebar MRT,there is about 4-5 lanes and 3 of them are strictly for "turn right" only and i was on the 2nd lane from the right waiting to turn right.

if you know the road well enough,the first 2 lane from right when you make a right turn will lead you to another two lane which is for "right turn" only back towards Paya lebar MRT.

as i was headng towards Geylang rd direction,naturally i need to filter to my left lane after my right turn.

as i was doing my right turn,there was a car on my right(going towards geylang rd too) wanted to eat into my lane without signalling.

i did not give way to him and proceed to driving and managed to filter 2 lanes towards the left heading towards geylang road.

after awhile,the driver horned at me on my right and showed me his middle finger.and when he drove pass me,he cut into my lane abruptly and showed me his "birdie" again.

i really wonder why did he do that?

does he know how to drive?

can anyone enlighten me on this nut cracking case.

just that iam really puzzle why did he do that when i don't think iam in the wrong.

is it because i did not give way to him?

but then,even if i did not give way to him,iam not wrong also.

ard how old is the driver? should be he buay song cos u din give way although is not your fault...

This kind bullies are everywhere on the road. Most of them look down on small cars. They think their cars are always better and faster, thus like to cut into the front of the small car.

 

If you are faster enuff, you should horn him before he cut into your lane.

 

Else ignore him and drive safely

his car is normal sedan with 1.6litre engine,its not a lancer in case some of you might think another reckless lancer driver.

he was wearing a black sunglass and looks like in his mid 30s.

Heng, confirmed is not me, though I travelled that stretch of road super often.

 

I know how the design of the road there, I will take extra precaution when driving there, esp during peak hour from Paya Lebar to Sing Post to Tg Katong/Geylang.

Yup....... that stretch is terrible! Last time, only the rite most lane will go back to Paya Lebar MRT.... Now it's 2 lanes. Often see drivers trying to change lanes when they found out the changes. Stupid design I would say....
