How to reset Service Indicator

hello bros,

 

my service indicator keeps beeping "service now" and i still have 10k more to go before the next service.

 

anybody know how to reset the indicator without having to go down to the agent?

 

btw, i drive the Superb.

You might want to do a search, done that in 2005 for the forum, it should be the same, do give it a try.

Go down to servotronic and ask Dennis to reset it for u, its just a 1min job.

You would need a VAG service tool (like a small dongle) which you plug into the ODB port, and reset it. It will reset both service and oil lights. Inexpensive, around 75 Euros. Like bros here mentioned, less than 1 min. It is quite a handy tool. However, those ODB fault code readers usually don't have this feature.

Seen this one or similar one before. However, the one i talked about is much smaller, about a keychain size, and very cheap. :-) No worries, thanks for alerting us on this product here.

I am encountering the same problem as you now. Its seem to be a common defect of the car. I haven't reached my first 15k servicing but the indicator is on already. My worry is the indicator is not accurate, how to know in future your car is working normally or not?

 

BTW, any bro know when the C&C workshop open after new year? I went down this morning and it was close. The security guard also don't know when are they starting work.
