Genie47 1st Gear January 29, 2010 Share January 29, 2010 You get used to it. They are more like laboratory safety goggles than specs. A little bit of wrap around. The sides have the shading material and you can even see to the corner of your eye. Got it for USD30. Forgot the price. Got it from Amazon. There is a shop in Tanglin selling it for SGD100 I think. Many models if you got to the Fitovers website. I think one of the pictures from my vacation in Australia features me wearing them. Here it is: http://www.mycarforum.com/index.php?s=&...t&p=2927493 I'm wearing them on Cape Woolamai but actually was wearing them as I drive. To regain unshaded vision while driving, I just push the sunglasses up to my head like a supermodel The model I got is the Jett collection that is designed to fit over oval frames not exceeding 143x39mm. Purple haze/polarized grey. Go to their website, there is the updates page. Print download their model and size guide but follow their instructions to print it. Very important. After that, you can overlay your specs over for the best model fit.
Pisces69 6th Gear January 29, 2010 Share January 29, 2010 Buy fitovers. Can even use if you decide to use contact lenses for that particular day. http://www.fitovers.com/ Not cheap but a very good solution. I wear them over my prescriptions. ============ I used it for my fishing trips but u must make sure they can fit over your glasses. If the size is too small, it wont sit properly. U can find them in the petrol stations. But now I switching over to those clip-ons which can b flipped up. Lighter & more convenient to use. Only problem is the reflections from the side. But if I wear a proper hat, it wil block all the side reflections.
Pisces69 6th Gear January 29, 2010 Share January 29, 2010 i paid 3000 to get my lens fixed in sgh and viola, i don need lens anymore ============= Im sure they make u look younger & more hamsome too. Only trouble is these new procedures might only show problems in several years but by then its too late. I used to use contacts but switched to glasses >10 years back as I read contacts might cause problems if worn for too many years or not used properly. I have 2 sets in my car. Can b flipped up so very fast to flip up when u enter a dark carpark. No need to fumble with 2 different pairs of glasses while u r driving. Much safer.
