Bluemice 2nd Gear February 8, 2008 Share February 8, 2008 ty for reply. Now i see your point, but $$ will never be enough one... can i ask if u are married or single ?? even if u save ALL your earnings per month till old age or ( earlier) your production line stops, it will never be sufficient... cosz anything can happen, i mean if given Gods grace the kid is born fine - GOOD; if he is born disadvantaged, then there are even more to worry. i mean theres pple earning $1000 per mth, and pple earning $5000 per mth and both of them hving kids. Anyway, if your gf( or then wife) is willing to marry you, then $$ is not gonna be a problem(not a BIG one at least), i mean for some1 like you( or many here) who drives, holds a job, able to surf MCF I guess it boils now to the quality that we want to provide to our chew-ren. Thanks for sharing. My own opinion ( to all those undecided as well) : Just do it, cosz life is about the journey, not the end point. oh, the feeling of that "cute little thing" calling u "DADDY" is priceless( Enough to put that super-duper audio amp upgrade, that you have been eyeing for eons, aside and buy him his fav toys that he will soon cast aside in days). mice ↡ Advertisement
Watwheels Supersonic February 8, 2008 Share February 8, 2008 i read somewhere that 4 out of 5 are mistakes i do enjoy my kids very much the reason for the thread is that when kids were not around many do not know the joy (also the pain) but how the kids are brought up is actually a reflection of us parents How can it be?? Imagine 4 out of 5 kids' dad come up to them and tell them that bringing them to this world is a mistake?? Isn't it very sad. I think u misread some of the info. Poper 2nd Gear February 8, 2008 Share February 8, 2008 for those who are married, your kids are they a MISTAKE .... You can't measure having kids with $$$ value.. If our parents did so, we probably would have been "deprived" of better education, clothing etc.. I did feel that having kids was a $$$ & time burden in my 20+ but into mid-30s, I felt excited and privilege to raise kids.. Dun ask me why; I just changed.. My elder brother who was a chiongster and the least "perfect" father I can ever expect.. He's a changed man since he his first son arrived last Oct.. Today, he's motivated to work extra hard for his son and wife. He bought insurance thingy for his family.. He had so much passion when talking about his son and the great future he wanted him to have... I salute him for the change!
Tploh Clutched February 8, 2008 Share February 8, 2008 If the word "mistake" is in a parents' mind, suggest not to have any to start with. Don't understand why people try to raise a child beyond one's means ( tution fee, enrichment classes, etc. ) The only cost to have a child is LOVE. Without LOVE, despite millions of $$$, the child will not nourish.
