Acieed 1st Gear July 15, 2011 Share July 15, 2011 DC5R and DC5 Type S or GSR are too different to list everything. :) Stock DC5R JDM will have at least these stuff: K20A (RSX Type S has K20A2 and JDM Type S / KM GSR have K20A3) Momo Steering Wheel Recaro seats 4-pot Brembo brakes 6MT Transmission Reinforced suspension and mounts Front & rear strut bars Modulo body kit and front and rear lip In short, DC5R is a track-car out of the factory. Type S or GSR are street cars with good handling.
GTR78 Neutral Newbie July 15, 2011 Share July 15, 2011 (edited) A stock DC5R does NOT come with the following: Rear strut bar Modulo body kit, front and rear lip It also comes with a 180km/h speed cut (JDM requirement) which can be very dangerous when it happens on the track or NS Highway. The DC5R front bumper has a pair of brake cooling ducts where the fog lamps are on the GSR models. There's something similar on the JDM FD2R. A stock DC5R is difficult to live with as daily driven car, the ride is hard, the stock Recaros are tight and its loud (road noise, wind noise, you can hardly hear the radio above 100km/h). The steering is heavy but acurate, and you get quite a bit of torque steer even with the stock Torsen diff. Its a fun car to play with on the right roads or track and it sounds heavenly when the VTEC engages above 6000rpm. The fuel economy is borderline acceptable if you don't VTEC too often (highway driving nets about 10-11km/litre), BUT recomended to feed it only 98 (high compression engine). Cheers DC5R and DC5 Type S or GSR are too different to list everything.
