If Superb should be a worth few k below Passat, then i suppose the market price should be around 45-50k?

bro, why not call the owner and ask ? then you compare it with the current selling price of new car, then see whether reasonable or not ? anyway, you should compare it against the passat 1.8T, not the 2.0

eh..technically yea we shld compare Passat 1.8T and Superb but we cant kid ourselves....in reality esp in SG, VW is categorically placed at a much higher class and price band. So the 1.8T Superb can only be matched against the lowest range Passat in terms of market positioning.

cos of brand value loh...and also when they sold this model at that time, is was sub 100k or lower if I remembered correctly...priced was about 10k or so above Superb. the 1.8T is a whole lot higher, so cannot compare.

 

as much as we know the Superb is way better than that silly way out of date 2.0A unit....

AFAIK, the first batch of Superbs on local shores weren't cheap.... I don't think you'll ever get a used one at 45k+-

The owner would probably rather keep it

Plus the first batch were higher spec-ed than the batches after in terms of trim levels

Sachs front, Eibach/Bilstein coilover rear, Broquet (recycled), chiak-kentang, Open Pod or CAI, Supersprint exhaust, Port & Polish, 5 bar fuel regulator, rear disc brake, Stoptech BBK with slotted rotors, Anti-roll bar front and rear, Strut bar, 17" wheelers.
