Recieving a card

If someone gives you a card and the card has money inside would you open the card in front of them or wait until they leave?

How would you know the card has money inside in the first place?

Anyway when a person gives you something wrapped or in a bag.

It's courtesy to open it in his/her absence.

The card is asumed to have money it it becasue the card is for graduation (graduation cards normally have money) so I assumed it. So you would wait till you are alone?

I have graduated many times but I have yet to receive any money on my graduation day!

 

Is it the trend today for youngster to receive monetary blessings during convocation.

If that were the case, I want to go back to school again.

I think it's ok to open in front of the giver cos I or for most ppl wouldn't expect any money to be in it.
