Thanks to all that reply..appreciate it..

Guess I will leave it as it is and ask OC to crank start and let idle for 5-10mins weekly.... [;)]

13.6 - 14.2v during driving - it's the voltage output from the alternator.

12volt battery charge status - if you check the battery as it is - the voltage you are getting is actual surface charge and not the true battery storage battery. To get the correct battery charges status, you have to start the engine and run it for awhile and shut down the engine. This is the time to take the battery voltage. The idea reading should be 12.6volt

It is better to take the car out for a drive.

Get all the parts moving, charge the battery, prevent flat spot on the tyres, etc.

It is like that, when the alternator is not on, the battery is at 12V. It is a 12 volt battery!!!. A better way to test your battery is 1) on the low beam for 5 minutes, then test the voltage to see if it is still about 12 V, but if your battery is weak, you will need jumpstarting or a battery charger.

I think that is the best solution. If still cannot start, I have jumper cables, battery charger (only good if your car is parked near an AC source). If you have any problem can send me a PM.

After the battery is being charged, letting the battery stand for a a few hours ( some recommend 12 hours) removes the surface charge.
