The main intent of traffic police enforcement is to discourage speeding.

 

So what the DJs are doing also achieves the same effect.

 

If people dun speed because scare of TP, rather than want to keep the road safe.

Then it's "change soup but not ingredient"..

 

Whatever methods TP uses, hopefully it changes our drivers' thinking, not just behavior.

 

And yes, I do speed at times especially in wee hours when the road is all mine.. Jurong East to Tampines in 20 mins [laugh]

Come to think of it, TP can pay DJ to say this all over Singapore and you will see a massive reduction in speeding and people will be more careful.

 

This is also a way promote Road Safety.

 

Yes, they did it to promote road safety and i believe TP use radio to reduce the speeding on the road. In fact, i heard these 'news' over few stations (90.5, 933, 95, 958, 927, etc).
