Eyke Supercharged October 15, 2008 Share October 15, 2008 it's better than turbo/super-charger, that's why LTA don't need it to be approved, unlike for turbo/super-charger
Yc86 Clutched October 15, 2008 Share October 15, 2008 (edited) A turbo spins at excess of over 20,000rpms. An air charger with a 12~14V electric motor? Probably not more than 3000rpms. Even lower with load. Figure the numbers. Capsule and vacuum devices? In which post did you see good comments for this? so far I've seen everyone saying it is useless. Vblaster_w211 2nd Gear October 15, 2008 Share October 15, 2008 There're some tried and true ways to increase whp. These include: a. Turbo or Supercharger b. Rebuild lower block for high compression c. Swap for a more aggressive profile cams or entire cylinder head with better airflow and cams d. More free flowing intake (including CAI) and exos, but must match the engine And of course, tuning to ensure correct AF ratio and ignition advance. Most other mods are either snake oil or very small or negligible improvements.
