Sad to see hear some FORTE owners failed to get their COE in this round. I wonder is it because some of you bought the car at S$44999, which C&C doesn't put enough bid for your cars.

I got mine at $47999 and successfully bidded mine COE today but will only be getting my car ard may-june... Now feel despo to drive my own FORTE!!!!. lol

Hi,

I feel no need to be despondent about not getting your car after 2 bids. After all, dealer has 6 bids to get the car for you. Whatever it is, do not feel the temptation to "top up" even if the dealer pressures you to, no matter how badly you want the car ASAP.

Worst come to worst, the dealer will refund you the deposit and you walk away and choose another. The dealer has a lot to lose as well as it's a lost sales.

Of course the person who pays the higher price will get his COE first. Cos he is already paying for the higher COE that is reflected in the higher car sale price. If I were the dealer, that is how I would prioritize as well as I'm not the one paying for the higher COE!

nevermind...I now sincerely hopes that the COE hit 6 to 7 k to make the C&C to pay more for us .

Afterall , I have nothing to lose but to them, they have alot to lose as they need to roll more fortes on the road [rolleyes]

If they increase the car price too much , no body will find it worth to get it. So in the end , who suffers?

just thinking , now that the price had gone up $3-4K different for those who bought before 20 feb. Will the SE make sure u lose 6 bid then ask u to top a bit if not u will lose all discount ? or deal to high demand lost a deal but sell to new buyer more worth to them ?

I think their main concern should get as much forte on the road as soon as possible .

Thus, i do not think they will do that as the economy is still very gloomy thus limit the number of buyers in the markets.

However,i do not minus this possibility so this weekend , i will be going to test drive other models and check out their promotions if there is any.
